My name is Tanita. I am from France and I am teaching yoga since August 2019. I did my 200 hours teacher training in Rishikesh, India. It is in the heart of the Himalayas. This place is known to be the cradle of yoga and spirituality, and it really is. I had there one of the most meaningful and richest experience of my life. Living the yogic lifestyle in an ashram for a few weeks, discovering what yoga really is and practicing it in daily life had so much power that it changed my way of seeing life.
But let’s talk a bit about the previous “me”. I studied international business and marketing and worked in this field for 4 years. Although I enjoyed my daily activities, I was often stuck in very stressful situations that I struggled to handle. I was chronically anxious and my way of relieving the stress was to be hyperactive after work. Running and practicing sports, I spent 3 hours everyday so that my body and mind could get tired and finally rest. Sport is one of my biggest passion since I was a child. But practicing too intensively can also be harmful and it actually produced a contra effect on me. This started to impact my health. I could not sleep and was always very stressed and nervous. I had to find other ways to calm my mind. That is when I discovered yoga. Through the practice of asanas and meditation I started to feel the difference in my life. Every Time I was practicing yoga, I was feeling full of positive energy. And I loved the feeling that accompanied it. This is when my yoga journey started.
Last year, I took the decision to change my life and career. This was not an easy decision because I was scared of what people would think and I also did not want to disappoint my family and friends. But I realized that I did not want to spend this life working behind a computer. I first passed a diploma in sport & fitness. After my certification, I decided to move forward to get my certification to teach yoga. Yoga is not just physical. It is also spiritual. Both spirit and body are important to live a happy and healthy life.
My aim is to share with you what I experienced in India. I want to bring not only a physical practice, but also a way of finding your inner peace. Are you ready to start the journey ?
